Proposal Engineer

Our Pittsburgh, PA client who is a manufacturer of capital equipment is expanding and looking to add a proposal engineer to their team. As a Proposal Engineer, your primary responsibility is to create cost estimates and proposals for capital equipment, tooling, and aftermarket upgrades. You will also assist in coordinating and overseeing all activities related to fulfilling customer orders for tooling build projects and aftermarket upgrades.

Responsibilities Include:

1.       Receive and review requests for quotes (RFQ) and work with the sales, feasibility, engineering, service, operations, and shipping departments to create cost estimates and detailed proposals for capital equipment, tooling, and aftermarket upgrades.

2.      Provide support to the technical sales department. 

3.      All company documentation must be maintained accurately/timely.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

1.       An Associate or BS Degree in Mechanical Engineering a plus or equivalent experience.

2.      1-2 years’ experience working in a manufacturing environment

3.      Skills & Experience with engineering design is preferred (Pro Engineer, Solidworks, AutoCAD).

4.     Knowledge of MS Office applications.

5.      Excellent written and oral communication skills.

6.      Strong attention to detail.
